26. Design Language - Double-Height / Voids

Characterised by: Large open vertical space. Can be achieved in split-level homes, but most effective in 2 (or more) storey designs where the upper storey can look down to the lower storey through a void. This connects spaces to each other that would otherwise be private. Double-height spaces can be done even in single storey dwellings, but their effect is greater when paired with a void from an upper storey.

Complimentary Accent: N/A -  it’s alternative is standard practice so for the purpose of this exercise it shall be considered as a single accent dialect without a dialect ratio
